In January 2022, the International Committee finished negotiating the following agreement with the PSA.

Agreement Text

NASPA agrees to:

  1. Publish this agreement on its website at http://www.scrabbleplayers.org/w/PSA_Agreement and to advertise it to its members.
  2. Grant complimentary NASPA membership to PSA members resident in Pakistan who are registered to play in NASPA-sanctioned tournaments, thereby exempting them from the normal requirement of paying for association membership to participate in official events.
  3. Offer complimentary visa application support letters when needed to PSA members resident in Pakistan who are registered to play in NASPA-sanctioned tournaments.
  4. Grant access to PSA officials to NASPA’s membership database query tool so that they may verify membership status of NASPA members intending to play in PSA events, and provide timely technical support for this service via email at info@scrabbleplayers.org.


The PSA agrees to:

  1. Publish this agreement on its website at https://www.pakistanscrabble.org/ [replace with specific link] and to advertise it to its members.
  2. Grant complimentary PSA membership benefits to NASPA members resident in the United States and Canada who are registered to play in PSA-sanctioned tournaments, thereby entitling them to any entry fee discounts to which PSA members may be entitled.
