Since April 2012, NASPA has offered a Life Membership program for our members who wish to show their lifetime support of competitive SCRABBLE play.

What it costs

Life membership costs US$20 per year or part thereof up to age 80, with a minimum of $20. For example, if you are 50 years old, you have 30 years left before you turn 80, so your life membership will cost $600 (30 x $20 = $600). If you are 90 years old, your life membership costs just $20, the minimum amount.

What you get

Life members may apply to change the first two digits of their NASPA ID from the usual AA (or CM for committee members) to LM (for Life Member). We will be offering other benefits to life members, and welcome suggestions from life members.

How to sign up

Because of the age-based pricing plan, we require proof of your date of birth. You can provide this either in the form of a photo or copy of a document such as a driver's license, passport or birth certificate. Alternately, you can show your proof of age to one of our certified Directors and ask him/her to email us.

To proceed with signing up for membership, please send us your proof-of-age information at info@scrabbleplayers.org.

Can I be grandfathered?

If you were a paid member in good standing as of April 1, 2012, and were already 80 years of age or older, we will be extend your membership to a life membership when we receive your proof of age.
