David Koenig has represented the USA at every World Scrabble Championship since 2011 and at the 2008 Can-Am.

He has won many tournaments stateside, and in the UK he won the 2017 British Matchplay Scrabble Championship and the 2020 Grand Slam.

He has been ranked in the top 10 players in both the US and the UK, and in 2020 the Association of British Scrabble Players conferred the Grandmaster title on him. He is also a FIDE Chess Master, a software developer, and a former teacher.

David streams club sessions and sometimes other Scrabble content at twitch.tv/dave_koenig. He shares his insights into Scrabble games as he plays them, including occasional reminiscences of other players and events from his nearly two decades competing in tournaments, and you can sometimes catch him chatting about his favorite beers, gins, and Spotify playlists.
