A new edition of the Rules, to take effect on January 4, 2017, has been published.
With the October 15 deadline for candidates passing and only two candidates registered, incumbents Bernard Gotlieb and John Robertson won new three-year terms on the Canadian Committee by acclamation. Their new terms begin on January 1, 2017.
The Forward Energy Committee was recently formed to examine NASPA opportunities for improvement and to make recommendations to the appropriate governing bodies, including the Executive Committee.
We welcome Betsey Wood to the Tournament Committee and Michael Willis to the Ratings and Recognition Committee.
This new release includes the OTCWL2016, SSWL2016 and CSW2015 word lists.

Congratulations to Adam Logan, who defeated James Leong in three straight games to win the 2016 Canadian National SCRABBLE Championship. Logan is the only player to have won the event five times.
We welcome Art Moore to the Technology Committee.
Registration is now open for the 2016 Canadian National SCRABBLE Championship, and closes on April 13th.
Registration is now open for the 2016 North American SCRABBLE Championship. All paid registrants on or before February 29, 2016 will receive a free NASC t-shirt.
