Revision as of 15:11, 17 November 2011

Since September 1, 2010, NASPA has encouraged its members and especially its directors to help recruit new members by offering referral bonuses.

How to get a referral

If you refer someone to the association, ask them to enter your NASPA ID when filling out the online application form. If you think they may have trouble remembering, you can give them a referral link that will automatically give you the referral without their having to enter your NASPA ID.

In order to receive a referral bonus, the member must not previously have been a NASPA member (it’s okay if they were an NSA member or had a tournament rating), and they must pay for at least one year’s membership (regular, youth or vanity).

What you get for a referral

  • For each referral, you get a month added onto your NASPA membership.
  • If you have the most referrals in the twelve-month period from 2011-09-01 to 2012-08-31, you will be specially recognized and receive an extra year added onto your NASPA membership.

Extensions to your NASPA membership will be processed automatically. If your club has more than one director, you may pool your referrals to qualify for any of the club sanctioning bonuses.

If you qualify for more than one bonus, you may receive all the bonuses that you qualify for.

Expired offers

  • If you have the most referrals in the twelve-month period from 2010-09-01 to 2011-08-31, you will be specially recognized and receive an extra year added onto your NASPA membership. (Congratulations to Conrad Bassett-Bouchard, this year’s winner!)
