Since 2011, some members of the Advisory Board have been chosen by election.
The composition of the AB over the years under NASPA is available at this website.
In 2015, the AB moved to six elected members (1 for each of 5 regions and 1 at large seat), and five nominated seats, where outgoing members recommend successors from their region. Other members may be appointed by the Executive Committee.
