Welcome to the home page of NASPA Zyzzyva, a word study program originally written by Michael Thelen and now maintained by the Zyzzyva Committee. NASPA Zyzzyva is a free download, offered for the benefit of NASPA members and all who enjoy competitive word games.

NASPA Zyzzyva is the word judge program of choice at major events such as NASPA’s Scrabble Players Championship, the Canadian National SCRABBLE Championship, and the North American School SCRABBLE Championship. Other versions of Zyzzyva are used at the World SCRABBLE Championship, as well as at smaller events, clubs, and gatherings around the world.

The current version of NASPA Zyzzyva is Version 3.4.1, released on 2024-03-11; this version includes NWL2023 and NSWL2023 in the list of supported lexicons.
