The Official SCRABBLE Players Dictionary, 5th Edition was published by Merriam-Webster on August 6, 2014, and includes those words from the Official Tournament and Club Word List 2014 Edition which are shorter than nine letters and considered appropriate for school and recreational play. It is widely available in bookstores and online.

As of August 17, 2014, we are not aware of any plans to make this word list available in a handheld stand-alone Franklin device.

Known Errata

The following words were erroneously omitted from at least some printings:

  • XED
  • ZLOTE
  • ZLOTYCH

The word ZIZZ is incorrectly labelled as a noun; it should be labelled as a verb.
