The 2002 National SCRABBLE® Championship (WSC) took place August 18-22 at the San Diego Concourse in San Diego, CA. Following registration and a private reception on Saturday, August 17th, 700 players in six divisions played seven games on each of Sunday, Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and three more games on Thursday morning for a total of well over 20,000 games of SCRABBLE®.
