1999 US WSC QT Results

Here are final results of the 1999 United States World Scrabble Championship Qualifying Tournament, held June 11-13, 1999 in Euless, Texas. The event was organised and directed by Club #248 Director Mary Rhoades.

Sixteen players qualified to play based on their ratings during the qualification period; the top three finalists (Lipton, Hersom and Polatnick) have been selected to represent the United States at the WSC this November.

The NSA does not generally post results of any kind for nonrated tournaments, nor does it routinely post extensive crosstables with game scores for such tournaments. The above exception for the recent American WSC Qualifier in Euless, TX was generously prepared by NSA Webmaster John Chew on his own time.
