[photo of Nigel Richards] Nigel Richards is the reigning National and World Champion, winning the 2012 National SCRABBLE Championship in Orlando, FL in August, 2012 and the 2011 World SCRABBLE Championship in Warsaw, Poland.

He also won the 2011 and 2010 National SCRABBLE Championships in Dallas, TX, the 2008 National SCRABBLE Championship in Orlando, FL, and the 2007 World SCRABBLE Championship in Mumbai, India.

He has won several other tournaments worldwide, including the 2008 and 2010 World Players Championships.

Nigel Richards, originally from New Zealand, lives in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.
