'''OSPD3''', the third edition of the
[[Official SCRABBLE Players Dictionary]],
was edited in tandem with
the first edition of the [[Official Tournament and Club Word List]] (OTCWL).
It was published in 1995 and edited by [[Merriam-Webster]],
based on research conducted by the then
[[National SCRABBLE Association]] under the chairmanship of then [[Dictionary Committee]] chair [[Jim Pate]] and committee members [[John Chew]], [[James Cherry]], [[Joe Edley]], and others to be confirmed when a suitable copy of [[SCRABBLE News]] is located.

While OSPD3 was never used as an adult competitive lexicon, it did see use in [[School SCRABBLE]] play. Errata below were created for this latter purpose.
